This is not the vocal line that I (KM) came up with. Our old drummer said he wanted the song to be about something dark, so I went to some dark places. Steve wanted a Cab Calloway style vocal line. So I came up with a vocal line, but I'm no Cab Calloway. I handed Erik the lyrics and told him to mess around with the vocal line, the phrasing, the dynamics. And now it's brilliant.
