about

This song is about having someone that will accept you for who you are, and that stands by you when others try to slander your name.

Fun fact: When I (KM) first wrote this song, I couldn't play the main riff in tempo. Every once in a while I'll write a song that's hard on someone in the band so that we continue to push ourselves to get better.

lyrics

My reputation
A story I know well
I'm hearing what they offer
But not buying what they sell
I am not
What they say I've become
This is my affliction
Rabbit run

I hear their words pass in the wind
I hear those words echoing lies
I am not a liar
I just carry the disease
Now I run to you and fall
Down on my knees

The room goes quiet
As soon as I come in
Eyes all staring at me
My patience wearing thin
Who then can I turn to
Who could bare my name
I see your hand extended
And I'm game

I hear their words pass in the wind
I hear those words echoing lies
I am not a liar
I just carry the disease
Now I run to you and fall

They will never break me
So long as you are here
They will never break me
So long as you are near
I have no fear

They keep on talking
Trying to cut me down
Tripwires spread about me
But I am still around
And you're there at my should
Lifting me above it all
Providing my salvation
Standing tall

I hear their words pass in the wind
I hear those words echoing lies
I am not a liar
I just carry the disease
Now I run to you and fall

They will never break me
So long as you are here
They will never break me
So long as you are near
I have no fear

They will never break me
So long as you are here
They will never break me
So long as you are near
I have no fear
